The Lovely My two year old, Eli, drags me out to the back porch. I do not really want to go. I think of all the excuses, but he wins. He has on his sweet boots and sweat shirt and a baseball cap. He is adorable. I am still in my lounge clothes. A long sweater. Yoga pants. No make up. Today is a sad day. My dear dear Aunt is dying. She is getting closer to drawing her last breath on this earth. My heart hurts. It is heavy. I wiped tears from her eyes just yesterday. I say thank you to God. I am blessed to have been a part of her life. I am blessed because I know her. Eli wants to play with bubbles now. I pour them in the bubble machine and watch as a thousand bubbles fill the crisp cloudy air. He is so excited. I am still. I imagine. Today I have spiritual eyes. There are a thousand souls floating up. She may be one. Floating. Enjoying the space around her. Free from being held down. Perfect. Perfect. God holds these. They are right with Him. Free. ...

A Thankful heart is a HAPPY heart
While sometimes I am not very joyful.. I feel like it is a matter of where you are in your thankfulness . Last night I was kinda bummed. My boys went off on a "family " weekend with their dad's family..it always bums me out some because I can't enjoy that with them. I can however choose to be thankful that they have a wonderful time and family with their dad and his wife and little sister. He provided our condo and it's maintenance free yard.(hallelujah!!) He has watched over me to help me make good decisions and HE has forgiven me and wrapped His arms around me. Knowing and thanking HIM for all that HE has provided is turning my blah's into a GREAT anticipation of t...
Every Effort
“Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and mutual edification” Romans 14:19 You may have been yelled at, treated wrong, or accused of untruthful things. Who cares if they did or didn’t eat meat or vegetables? Paul’s point is this… Do not pass judgment on others. Paul says in verse 19 therefore, because of these things, make every effort to live at peace…God knew how hard it was going to be... we were all made so different. Therefore (because of these things) m...
